‘Nirvana: The Day to Day Illustrated Journals’ by Carrie Borzillo-Vrenna Expanded With More Photos and New Design Set for Release This September

‘In-depth diary style breakdown from birth to death, “Eyewitness”…is essential reading for any Nirvana fan still hungry for a piece of the ’90s finest.’ - Kerrang! 4K review

The only Nirvana book of its kind, “Eyewitness Nirvana: The Day By Day Chronicle,” is being re-issued with a new title, “Nirvana: The Day to Day Illustrated Journals” this fall via Carlton Books.

The newly revamped book is much bigger (10×10.25-inches, hardcover) than the original version and will include 200 photos integrated for the first time with the text as a fully illustrated book.

“‘Nirvana: The Day to Day Illustrated Journals’ is not a biography, but rather a purely factual, diary-style account of the influential band’s career and lives,” says author Carrie Borzillo-Vrenna. “It was originally released in September 2000 under the name of ‘Eyewitness Nirvana: The Day by Day Chronicle.’”

“Borzillo did her homework, researching every stop on every tour and interviewing key players such as Nirvana manager Danny Goldberg and publicist Jim Merlis…Useful and interesting.” (Chicago Sun-Times’ Jim DeRogatis)

Danny Goldberg himself was pleased with the book, saying, “‘Eyewitness Nirvana’ conveys the day-to-day sequence of events with care and accuracy during the period of time in which I worked with the band.”

Borzillo-Vrenna started her career in journalism at Billboard magazine, where she penned a column on up-and-coming bands and the music business for four and a half years as Heatseekers Features Editor.

She left to become Managing Editor at the pioneering music news website, allstarnews.com, for six years, which earned her recognition as one of the most influential Californians in the music biz in BAM magazine.

Borzillo-Vrenna is currently a music columnist at Alternative Press and the Senior Editor/sexpert at Gene Simmons Tongue magazine.
